A Glimpse Beyond: What My Aunt’s Passing Taught Me About the Soul, God, and Healing

For as long as humans have lived, we’ve asked the same question: What happens after death?
On a quiet Sunday afternoon in the Intensive Care Unit, I witnessed a moment that answered this question—not through clinical observation, but through the lens of spirit.
Show Me the Miracle
My aunt, Arti, lay in a hospital bed. As a physician, I’ve spent years studying the body. But on this day, I left my medical knowledge at the door. I entered the room not as a doctor, but as a witness.
I held one silent prayer in my heart:
“Dear God, show me the miracle in this.”
Then I let go—into stillness. Into a silence beyond sound.
A Vision of the Celestial
As I meditated, something extraordinary unfolded. My uncle, Suru, standing quietly at the head of Arti’s bed, suddenly looked up and said:
“Arti’s soul is communicating. She is flying among the stars… There is Jesus. There is Krishna. Lord Rama escorts her.”
He described celestial realms—light, peace, and transcendence. This wasn’t grief. It was liberation. A dissolving of fear. A reunion with what is Eternal.
A Lesson from the Soul
In that moment, we were no longer mourning. We were celebrating. Arti’s message was clear:
- Do not grieve the body—her soul is safe.
- Chant God’s name, in the way you understand Him.
- Stay urgent in your pursuit of the Divine.
She showed us that the Earth realm is not the end, but a beginning—a schoolhouse for the soul.
The Subtle Energy of Connection
Arti was a dancer, a teacher, and a woman of great discipline. Even days before her transition, she moved through life with grace, calm, and clarity.
As a doctor who speaks on the mind, body, and soul, I saw in Arti the embodiment of that wholeness. She reminded us that true healing goes beyond the physical. It touches something deeper—something sacred.
The Dance of Subtle Energies
Arti had a rhythm, a beat in her life.
In her Kathak ballet, subtle energies found form—graceful, powerful, alive. Through Kathak, she didn’t just perform; she revealed the soul’s truth:
Beneath all matter, it is energy and intention that dances.
For Arti, dance was more than movement—it was a radiant expression of the unseen, made visible through every gesture, every spin, every beat of the tabla.
She taught us that life itself is a sacred performance, choreographed by the Divine.
Godspeed, Artikaki
Artikaki, you showed us what it means to live with grace and pass with light.
You gave us the miracle of this life—
and the miracle evermore.
